Here I am again, with the same diary, same pen and same thoughts as yesterday. Quarantine sucks. As soon as the news about staying home and not having to go to school hit my eyes, I was bursting, literally bursting, with excitement and euphoria. Jamming to my favourite songs and dancing around the house like no-one's watching me is great, honestly, but now its become tedious. I had thought "Oh well, thats alright! I can still eat delicious food and sleep for however long I want, right?" But oh boy, I got sick of eating dozens of new things that I knew continuing it is like asking for a death wish. Ain't happening. So like that, all my hobbies became things I detested and although school wasn't my favourite time of the week, I now DEARLY miss all my friends and the good old times when they used to laugh at my stupidity and make fun of me. Oh mother, I sound like I'm decades older then 12 right now! Although, I'm not going to lie, I FEEL just like that right now. In less then 4 days I'm going to be 13, a REAL teenager and no longer a tween. So far, the happiest moment of my life this year was last week when I saw my friends again. Social distancing was nearly impossible because I felt so ....incomplete without them annoying me and making me regret life choices every week. HOPEFULLY, we can all get over this safely and go back to ACTUALLY living life to the fullest. I mean, we're not going to be young forever, am I right?

I started school a week a go on the first day back I didn't want to go back but I soon realized it was much more easier. To answer question's and show that I've done my work not going to school was more fun but is was less practical. So if you were to do school at home it is harder for me so I feel that school is easier to do.

The Covid-19 crisis During Covid-19 its been difficult for me and my family and many workers who have lost there job because of the Corona Virus. In shopping centres you have to keep your distance witch is called social distancing you would have to stand 1.5 meters away from others on the floor there be markings of where to stand. Inside shops there also where plastic screens just in case if you cough or sneeze and the screens it will prevent people getting a flu, when entering a a shop you would have to put hand sanitizer to disinfect your hands. The government has told many Australians to isolate if you had any symptoms witch where sneezing, coughing and flu like symptoms. Communication was very difficult you could not visit a friend or family member you would have to video call then on a phone or iPad. I liked staying at home with my family during isolation.

Dear Diary, I’m going to talk about my experience with COVID19. This is just my perspective. I never really felt scared or worried i mean there was like 2 weeks where I think it was like the worst part and I think then I was a little worried. Us kids might not really understand what’s going on because I know it was a little crazy and hectic especially with school and not knowing when we would be going back. At home learning for me has been pretty good..i started off ok i wasn’t really finishing every task but now I’ve gotten much better with trying to finish everything. Australia went to level 3 restrictions which means pretty much that a lot of things would have to be canceled and heaps of places had to shut down. School was open only for the kids that had parents who were essential workers and they had to send them because they were obviously at work. The other kids such as me were at home doing online school. Me and my family like to go out to dinner with friends and family and catch up with people a lot and well we couldn’t do that since we all had to be at home in quarantine. I don’t think we found it extremely hard or anything especially because our country really wasn’t in isolation for that long compared to other countries. Since no one could see there friends I would just FaceTime them, one thing I did with one of my friends Matilda, was we would watch movies over FaceTime and you pretty much FaceTime each other then get a movie and both play it at the same time and just watch it together it’s really fun.

Life has been so different ever since COVID 19, also known as Coronavirus. Coronavirus is a new virus that just started, I wish it didn’t. Nobody can go outside, unless shopping. The only thing we can do, is walking. We are aloud to exercise and go on walks, which is good. The symptoms of Coronavirus are a dry cough and fever. Because of Coronavirus, people are stocking up on masks and hand sanitizer. I think we are on Level 3 restrictions now. We have to isolate in our houses and social distance now. We have to social distance and keep 1.5 meters away from each other. We can only go to school if we can’t stay home, or our parents are essential workers and have no choice but to go to work. We can’t see our friends that often, which I really hate. The good thing is that on the radio, they said that they were thinking about lifting restrictions to 5 adults, and as many children by the end of this week...hopefully.

Throughout the time of covid-19 I felt worried and confused about why everyone was up late watching the news why everyone had seemed so much more stressed and worried but then I realised covid-19 wasn’t just effecting me and my worries that I couldn’t go to school, dancing, have family and friends. It was also concerning my parents they are worrying about me and my siblings health and there own health and dutie. In isolation it wasn’t all bad I became closer with my family, I learned to go out side more often then I normally would and I had more responsibilities which wasn’t that bad because it’s preparing me for other things in my life as I get older.

One thing i liked about the covid crisis is that i got to spend more time with my family and i got to do my school work at home,so I actually liked it a lot because i found it very easy working at home i also got to go outside way more often. One thing i did not like about covid-19 is that I couldn’t see any of my friends even family and I couldn’t see my friends and family when they had there birthday, and another thing I didn’t like was that I could not hug or kiss anyone but i could hug my mum and dad. I did not like staying at home, but doing my school work at home is a good experience for high school so that was a good thing. But other then that I just wanted things to go back to normal. We where in level 3 in NSW which meant that school were only open to kids who have parents working but other then that most people stayed at home.I never knew that covid-19 could do so much to our lives i would never ever want to experience that again some people actually liked staying at home but I didn’t at all,we couldn’t go the the shops to by clothes and stuff like that we could only go to like Woolworths to by food for our family we were stuck at home bored and upset. But lucky it is much better now we can have some people over at our house and stuff is starting to get back to normal.I never want stuff like that to happen again. COVID-19 IS A NIGHTMARE .

My name is Ashden and I am in Year Six. This year has been a different start to the year with bushfires, floods and now Corona Virus. This virus has effected everyone by making us stay at home. We can’t go meet up with friends at school,or at the playground and beaches are closed because of this. This has been a difficult time for everyone, but one thing I like about it, is spending time with my family at home in our garden. The Government said no one is allowed to travel too far from home unless their working, buying essentials or going to school. We had these restrictions for five weeks and after some time the restrictions have been wound back and we are allowed to travel to visit our extended family members.

My name is Yameena Mubarak and I am from Sydney, NSW. I am 12 years old, in year 7 and St George Girls High School. When we were told that it was recommended to stay at home because of COVID-19, at first I was excited. This meant I could sleep in and wake up at 8 am and still be at my desk on time, it was rainbows and unicorns for, like a week, but my envision of this started to fade away. I was missing my friends and teachers, it's not fun being surrounded by 2 siblings for practically 24 hours. My parents were also not really meant to be teachers. Thank god Australia was able to contain COVID-19, then students in NSW would be allowed to attend school once a week, I was super excited to see my friends again, it's much better than facetiming! Quarantine also taught me some stuff, so it wasn't an all bad experience. Quarantine showed me my passion for baking, I love baking now, I think majority of my time other than school work during quarantine is cooking. This has been an overwhelming and very interesting experience, that I'll never forget. It's definitely one of the weirdest times of my life, and staying at home is definitely not what I thought I'd be doing today. It's all cool because I just have to keep in mind that, I'm doing this for the betterment of myself and everyone else, but I still can't to be out and about again!

COVID 19 2020 has been a huge roller coaster from Bush Fires, Floods, toilet paper raids and now Croan Virus. I am in year 6 now and it has not been a great experience. Normally we have all these fun activities but that has stopped. We have to stay inside and we are not allowed to go to school unless your parents are essential workers. Everyone has been very confused and scientists are struggling to find a cure but they won’t give up which is amazing. It has been a very sad time because we can not hug or kiss your family members. We have to stay 1.5 merters apart from people and you are not allowed to touch people. You also can not see your friends and family. This experience has brought a lot of sadness to my life in general because I missed out on my 12th birthday and my last birthday party with all my primary school friends so I have had to have a zoom party which is all right. I have not been allowed to see my friends at all during the school holiday because we had to stay in quarantine. We have had to stay in quarantine to keep people from getting sick because the main way of spreading Croan Virus is seeing people and touching them. The only thing I would say to be a positive is that we learned new life skills we have learnt a lot during this time including how important it is to wash your hands and how important your hygiene is. We have learned many many life skills that will help us in time. But this experience I will never forget. It's a once in a lifetime experience. It wasn’t a good one but it sure is crazy!
