Rainy days evoke memories of my childhood days when I used to play in puddles of water on the street. On my way home from school, I would dip a foot or both but always made sure my feet were clean when I get home to my
grandmother. The rainy days of late, has stirred me to write something about raindrops - those droplets of water falling from the sky.

Raindrops On A Leaf

Raindrops ran in rivulets
Down the slender leaf so green
Then bewitching tiny droplets,
Slowly forming can be seen.

Rain ceased, the storm passed.
Little droplets sitting still
Dancing, jiggling then at last
On the ground they fell.

With each drop came snippet
Of memories from the past.
Treasured and forever etched
In my mind and in my heart.
