Dear Future Self,

My name is Ty and I am a Year 6 student at Glenbrook Public School now you're probably wondering what life was like during the COVID-19 crisis in 2020.

Now there were three main stages to this pandemic.

Firstly everyone was sent into lockdown with not much notice, people started to panic and bulk buy things like toilet paper and quite soon stores were low on stock and nobody knew what to do.

Secondly
People were starting to understand what they had to do and everyone started doing school work from home. It was still very stressful because people were still dying and everyone was in quarantine. Nobody could meet in large gatherings and people could not see the elderly, some children were coming back to school 1 to 2 days a week and now kids could meet with their friends.

Thirdly
Everyone was now coming back to school and people could gather in larger groups as the death rate was slowly going down, friends could catch up and family could now see each other so now we are slowly easing restrictions and trying to go back to normal.

Some interstate travel was now allowed so people could get back to their jobs or get home.

Now this has affected so many people mentally and physically it has infected over 5 million people and over 2 million have recovered. Sadly over 350 thousand people have died.

So hopefully now you know what life was like during the coronavirus in 2020
