Dear Future Self,

I am Lucy and I am in Year 6 at Glenbrook Public School and I’m currently 11 turning 12. 2019 is when COVID 19 started, since week 7 of term 1 2020 I have been stuck inside with my family but in week 5 of term 2 I came back to school. During these times I have felt tired, sleepy and exhausted, but also I thought it was quite nice spending time with the family.

Working from home has been pretty easy going. With everyone working it's been very quiet and I get to spend more time with my pets.

During this I have missed my family so much, we were only allowed to see two grown ups at a time and as many kids as you want. Whilst corona virus was happening there has been NO toilet paper. I don’t think that it's really an essential but obviously it is to other people. Also nowadays hand sanitiser costs like 20 bucks for only two tiny bottles and soap probably cost more than that for only one bottle.

We’ve also had to do social distancing and every time we walk in and out of the library or the classroom we have to sanitise. When corona started I was very scared of it. I didn’t know if my Mum had it, if my Dad had it, my Brother, my Sister. Or even me! But most of all I was so worried about my grandparents because they have a higher chance of getting the coronavirus. My mind had all sorts of worried thoughts. But now I’m sure it's all over.

Yours sincerely
Lucy Lilly
