Dear Future Students,
I am Amelia H and I am a Year 6 student at Glenbrook Public School.
I bet you’re wondering what life is like with COVID-19, so let me share my experience with you.
The beginning of COVID-19 was really weird with short stock of food and items,no school and no visiting anyone.Everyone was short for food and ended up scrounging through their pantries but for some reason people were worried about toilet paper so that was very low on stock too.
I really didn’t enjoy not being able to go and see my family or go to school and see my friends but it did mean that I got to do my work at home and I didn’t have to get up early and rush around to get ready for school. Another thing I am really disappointed about is that I can't go on holiday for my mum’s 40th birthday so we’re going to have to just celebrate at home instead.I am doing lots of baking and exercise which is a good distraction. The middle of COVID-19 was the toughest part, only being able to leave home for essential reasons,so pretty much staying home all the time.
Now finally we have been allowed back at school which I am really happy about because I get to see my friends and get out of my house. COVID-19 has really changed my outlook on life. It has taught me to be grateful for everything we have. It has also taught me to take life as it comes because you never know what is just around the corner especially considering we’ve just had floods, fires and now this. This time has been very tough but we’re getting through it and we’re coming out stronger.
