Dear Future Reader,,
You must be wondering how things were in the time of COVID-19. (corona virus). things were CRAZY! My name is Ella. M and I am a Year 6 student at Glenbrook Public School. I am going to tell you about how things were in this insane time.
There were 3 major stages.
In the beginning stage things were wild! Everyone was stockpiling and filling up they're cupboards because no one knew what was going to happen! The biggest issue though, was TOILET PAPER! Weird right? I wonder why toilet paper was such a big deal. The shelves were empty of it Everywhere! Anyway, schools shut down suddenly and you were only allowed to leave your home for exercise, essential supplies or for medical reasons. It was crazy.
The second stage went on for about 6 weeks. We were only allowed to leave our house occasionally. We still had to do school :(. it was hard. I just seemed to go on forever and ever. I did all my schoolwork. (my mum made me). But it wasn't all bad. My family bonded together. We made lots of yummy treats. Plus we went out most afternoons and ran around the oval with the dog! My dad even came back with a packet of toilet paper once!!
The last stage is what we are witnessing at the moment. We all came back to school. Sport and out of school activities are opening up again. Plus, We are allowed to have gatherings of up to 10 people! We are all getting through this as a community and I hope things are well as you are reading this!
