Dear Future Self,
My name is Lexi H and I'm an eleven year old girl in Year Six in Glenbrook Public School. The world pandemic, Coronavirus started in 2019 and carried on to 2020. On this day they report 346,000 deaths.
In 2019 China identified a new virus, then days later there were dozens of cases in Asia and it just kept spreading. The first death was on January 11 in China. He was a 61 year old man in Wuhan, he died just before one of the biggest holidays in China. The next confirmed case was in the United States in the state of Washington. He was a man in his 30’s.
COVID-19 Had us working very differently. At the beginning of COVID-19 We all went to school, But as it started getting worse we had to do online work. We used Google Classroom and Zoom for it. After we had a few weeks of online work we started going back once a week. I went on Friday so I got to do some of the jobs! After a week of that we went back full time. We are still doing some online work but most of it is in our books.
During this world wide pandemic I've learnt lots of things. We all miss and need to go to school to have fun and learn. When we see family and friends we need to have fun and not argue and that I just went through a worldwide pandemic which will turn into history!
Yes COVID-19 was a hard time but it's over now or that's what we think.
