Dear Future Self,
My name is Luca. M and I am a Year 6 student at Glenbrook Public School. This year has probably been the hardest year yet because of the Fires, Drought and CoronaVirus/Covid-19. It has been so hard because you had to stay at home a lot during COVID-19. You couldn’t see any friends or family, especially grandparents. They can get really sick and could die. While you where in lockdown you need to wash your hand a lot so you wont get anyone else in your family sick. But then everyone was doing the rules and then you could go back to school and you could see your friends and family. You could even see your grandparents but you needed to be a metre apart from anyone.
During drought it was really hard because you could only you’se a certain number of water. There was no rain for days or even months. Australia was running low on food and the farmers were doing their best to produce food.
The bush Fires were started by the heat and because there was no rain and the fires were out of control. There were over 70,000 firefighters fighting the fires and lots of them died.
COVID-19 was very bad because most of the people lost their jobs so it was hard for the adults to make money. There was a lot of soap that had to be used. It was hard for me because I couldn't see most of my family and me, my dad and my sister were supposed to go to Germany for a month and I was excited but when the news said we couldn’t go anywhere I was sad.
