Even though COVID 19 has us locked in our houses, we can't see our friends and family face-to-face and school is online now, I can't help but feel really grateful for living in such an amazing country.
We constantly talk about COVID 19, whether it be on the news or with our friends. We talk about how horrible it is, and how we should stock up on toilet paper and food, stay indoors and practise social distancing.
But do we ever stop to think about how lucky we are?
Australia has been doing such an amazing job at battling this pandemic. Cases have decreased drastically ever since we started social distancing and following the new rules and restrictions that have been set. We still have our classes, even if they are online. We can still communicate with our friends through social media. We have amazing doctors and nurses who are working tremendously hard to help people who have COVID 19 and keep our communities safe.
I believe that Australia has become stronger as a country because of this pandemic. We have learnt to work as a team to stop the spread, we have built stronger connections with our friends and family when talking to them online and everyone has been looking out for each other more than ever.
So, yes. I know that the Coronavirus has changed our lives drastically, and put our country to the test, but every cloud has a silver lining.
