This year has been a rollercoaster ride with twists and turns at every corner (not the good type of surprises).
My name is Nushrat and I live in Sydney.
This is my first year in high school and I haven't even been able to attend school physically for a whole term. If that isn't bad I don't know what is. I miss my my friends, my teachers, even the cross walk man. they were the people that made my life worth living, I can't imagine a life without them. The future that we hold is so unclear, but we will make it. Online schooling sucks, If I was being honest - I actually miss going to school physically.
If life were a fairy tale this wouldn't be a happy ending. I'm talking to voices in my head, I stay in bed and shut the blinds wishing that I was somewhere else. technology has been a great privilege, It makes me feel less lonely. talking to family and friends online. however technology isn't the only way to feel better during these times. Going outside for a walk or bike ride often refreshes the mind and helps me feel better. it's comforting to know that I am not the only one who is stuck at home. The one thing that hasn't changed in my life is music. Listening to my favourite artists has helped me forget about this situation at times, however something unfortunate has occurred in the music industry. My favourite artist - Billie Eilish has had to cancel all her tours for this year.
I believe we can get through this pandemic together. everything's is going to be alright, everything is going to be okay, everything is going to get better.
